This is a new Area Group for the Republic of Ireland.
It was formed late in 2019 and we have only had a few meetings so far, mostly as virtual meetings due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Most of the members are based mainly on the East Coast from Dublin to Wexford. 
We will do our best to cater for all members in the Republic of Ireland.

Select **Ireland Area Group** from the drop down list in **Other Area Groups** and press the **Subscribe to Area Group** button.

====How do we meet====
We have a Zoom meeting every 3rd Sunday at 19:00 Irish local time.

Whilst restrictions are in place there are no physical meetings.

We also have an [[https://www.merg.org.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=248|Ireland sub Forum]] for discussions between our meetings.

====Exhibitions====
Our goal is to have a stand at the main exhibitions in the Republic of Ireland.
There are a number of exhibitions scheduled for 2022 in the Republic of Ireland and in the North of Ireland. MERG plan to have a stand at the following events:

Wexford Model Railway Club Exhibition 17 & 18 April 2022\\
North Down Model Railway Society (Bangor) Exhibition 23 & 24 April 2022\\
MRSI exhibition, Raheny, Dublin - Last weekend in October 2022, dates to be confirmed
